TG friendly shops, sites, restaurants, clubs etc

  • Beefcakes Cape Town A fun venue that is very accepting and welcoming of trans people. Brilliant waiters, good food, excellent cocktails and wonderful live shows. Highly recommended, although it is a little on the expensive side. 8

  • Crossdressers.com A safe forum for all transgender people to meet and get support. It is an overly moderated forum in my opinion hence the low rating. I am no longer participating in this community. 2
  • Lola Montez The ultimate sensuality boutique with naughty things for nice girls. Not specifically for trans people but management is very accepting. Could be a good source of lingerie and hosiery as well as some ‘specialist’ clothing. 10
  • Priscilla's Services A dressing and storage service aimed at the transgender community. Disclaimer this is my business. 10
  • T-Central A fairly comprehensive (if not complete) list of trans related blogs and news sites. 8
  • The Gender Society For all things gender related. Forums, services, classifieds, chat and much more. Less loosely moderated than crossdressers.com so tread carefully but there is more freedom to express yourself. 8
  • Transgender Guide A useful resource site with forums. 7
  • Wig Beauty An excellent supplier of wigs. Great customer service and a very good product selection. Very welcoming of crossdressers etc. 9
  • Zando A very good online clothing retailer. Very good for crossdressers, very good range of shoes (up to size 9) and discreet packaging. Great returns policy as well. 10
