Sorry folks but I am getting political… I stumbled across this Tweet and it got me thinking.

Clearly the Trump supporting  ‘Christian right’ of America have started treating their support for Trump as a religion. They are prepared to turn a blind eye to all of his many shortcomings, suggesting a belief in an almost god-like infallibility. If they can conflate Trump and his actions with their ‘deeply held faith values’  then they clearly have developed some decidedly different values to the rest of us.

Here is a draft (satirical) crede for them:

We believe in Trump the Almighty, eater of Big Macs and grabber of pussies. Through him all things were corrupted. For us and for our enrichment, he came down from Trump Tower by the power of the Holy Dollar he became president. For our sake he enacted tax cuts and imprisoned brown people and persecuted LGBT people. He was crucified under Pelosi and Mueller. He fucked porn stars and paid bribes. On the third day he solicited bribes and screwed our allies to help Putin, again. In accordance with his agreement with Putin; he ascended into the White House and is seated in the Oval Office. He will come again to destroy democracy and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Dollar the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the oil and the destruction of the environment. With the oil and the gold it is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Art of the Deal We believe in one supreme dictator. We acknowledge one Mitch McConnell for the hiding of sins. We look for the resurrection of the benighted past and the oppression of all we do not understand in the world. All hail Trump!
