Daniella's Ramblings

Hello Sweetpeas,

This is a note to say a big THANK YOU to each and everyone of my readers. I heard on 6 February that this blog (Daniella’s Ramblings) was awarded the title of Best LGBT Blog for 2016 in the South African Blog Awards I was greatly humbled by this award.

I know many of you voted for my blog and I thank you for those votes. The competition included the quantitative (voting) as well as a qualitative process, where judges assessed the individual blogs. I certainly could not have won this award without your help. Your votes helped, but all of your feedback, comments, e-mails and other interactions have inspired me and made me want to make this the best little blog I can make it.

I would like to thank the judges of the SA Blog Awards and also recognise all the other category winner as well as the overall winner for best blog in South Africa #LTC (Leave the Couch) you have a fantastic blog. Definitely something to aspire to.

I would also like to shout out to the runners up in the LGBT category Mamba Online you do amazing work in the LGBT community, thank you and I think your site is lovely.

Finally a very special mention to a few people who especially inspired and supported me:
My spouse Irene, without you I could do none of this. Thank you.
GeeGee, you are an inspiration and without you I would never have thought to enter.
All you other transgender bloggers out there (I do not want to mention you all by name, because I may miss some of you and that would be bad), thank you for inspiring me, getting my mind working and keeping the debate going.
